THE WISDOM OF CHRIST

The author, a devout and scholarly Muslim, considers the teaching of Jesus as the treasure of love and wisdom which He bequeathed as a permanent gift to all mankind. He sees Christ as one with Abraham and Moses, and the relationships between the three faiths as, ""Christianity the daughter of Judaism, and Islam the son of Christianity."" A new relationship of genuine good will and mutual respect and love can become the pattern of their life together. Chapter headings are grouped into three parts: Preparation (Love, Faith, Prayer, etc.); Perfection (Human Relations, Education, Detachment) and Salvation (God, Christ, Eternal Life). The method is to set forth selected passages from the Gospels, on which the author then makes comment. The basic point of view here is Gnostic, and the results show what can be made of Jesus Christ when the basic affirmations of the Christian faith are misconstrued.
