by Andrew York ‧ RELEASE DATE: Feb. 11, 1976
Introducing Colonel James Munroe Tallant, the full-blooded black Commissioner of Police on a Caribbean island who goes about his business with an equable temperament and a tacit understanding of the very shaded situations down there. Particularly after the disappearance of two men--one of whom is the banker son-in-law of the dark-skinned dictator with a lovely white wife. Tallant won't quite substitute for the absence of unbeatable Jonas Wilde, but anything York writes emanates professional eptitude.
