by Anne Green ‧ RELEASE DATE: Feb. 18, 1935
In the course of time the public will tumble to the fact that Anne Green is apparently a one-book writer, for since the success of The Selbys she has been progressively worse with each new novel. This is punk! The story of a man who tried to play god, after first uprooting his puppets from their chosen fields. The setting is, of course, France -- Paris and the provinces; the characters, expatriots living abroad on so-called business. Thin plot. Obvious dialogue. Strained humor. Buy only enough to meet the demand her name creates.
