THE HOUSE THAT JACK BUILT

In a bilingual rendition of the famous old rhyme, the author allows the child to learn a familiarity with French words and phrases by including a French version of the exciting chain of events which followed the building of Jack's house. The language here is superior, both in French and English the story a time tested favorite. Only the author's illustrations, which are highly stylized, adult, and in somewhat heavy colors, are of questionable appeal.
