A well known English humorist and novelist turns to the current scene -- at home and abroad -- as a source of laughter and invective, in easy rhymes and rhythms. They're good -- deceptively easy -- but they mask a good deal of sense and sensibility and righteous indignation. I loved them, from the German nation who ""cough up rulers who disturb our sleep"" to less militant barbs such as enveighing against automatic telephones (dial), ""Domestic Hollow-ware"", etc. The English can still laugh.
