A COLLECTION FOR J.L.

An older-fashioned, ready-to-wear commodity in the form of a dossier, hour by minute, of a snatch after Joseph Lyman Livingston, auto battery magnate at the head of a 900 million dollar company about to acquire another one, is kidnapped by some terrorist goons. For two days J.L., used to sleeping in monogrammed pajamas on blue satin sheets, is exposed to discomfiture bordering on torture while various members of his family and firm are involved in salvaging him alive. You've read this kind of book before and no doubt there are some men around who will do so again waiting to see whether J.L. will make it back to his blue chips and blue sheets.
