by Armand Denis ‧ RELEASE DATE: N/A
The first volume in the World Wildlife Series edited by Dr. Bruce Campbell is by that highly experienced gentleman who recently wrote On Safari (see p. 895, 1963), and who makes his home in Nairobi. He deals here, with equanimity and concern, with the thirty-five species of cats that inhabit all but one continent of our world, and as well with the domestic member of the family, the housecat. Mr. Denis describes the species and their habits, from lion to leopon, in Africa, Asia, North and South America, and Europe. He considers the main species for survival, ranging from the Puma's Category A to the Cheetah's Category D for danger. A clear, direct, authoritative briefing.
