Chants for a rhythmic rally, about 400 words in all, are belted out by a roaring, stomping brother and sister as scribbly, energetic (but outdated looking) figures keep time by throwing a baseball, jumping in a cheering section, pounding on the piano, or assembling for a proletarian poster-style group portrait to demonstrated the celebrated qualities. (""We"" are black, tall, strong, proud, smart, and big--as in ""big black woman/big black man. . . grow big black family/ big black plan."") The purpose is evidently to set listeners marching. . . and it will that.
