Here is a treatise, for girls, on the ever present problem of dating: How to be popular, how to sustain a relationship, how to evaluate relationships, survive rejections, and establish a moral attitude in the heterosexual world. Written in a friendly, girl-to-girl manner, the contributors to this text are certainly aware of the questions troubling young girls, and despite a veneer of easy going, answer them in the expected and conventional manner. It is questionable whether the real issues of personality can be resolved through a text book, but the market is certainly appreciable for this type of material, and in the absence of more direct counselling, this book serves some practical end.
