SCHROEDER'S GAME

As in Ripoff, lots of change passes hands and the same investigator, Brock Potter, is more than involved when one of his partners, unhinged, goes off carrying a gun and the other, the latter's brother, is killed while the firm they had underwritten is obviously siphoning off funds. In other words, a plot as complicated as any of Maling's even if it's not really his best. Will it take you in? Can you take it in? But the tone which always counts for a lot is confident and forceful.
