A quaint and amusing fairy-tale for children, the story of two little runaways, Paul and his sister, Marina. Having learned in school that the North and South Poles are equally cold, that the sky is infinite, and now able to count to a thousand, they decide that they are well equipped to see the world. Their adventures with talking animals, a shepherd and his dog, etc. are naive and whimsical. And that ""there's no place like home"" turns out to be the slight moral to the tale.
