THE FLYING PATCHWORK QUILT

Carl's younger sister Ellen was at the flying stage. Although all her attempts ended, literally, in flops, she was always realy to try something new. The thing that finally did the trick was a bit of an old patchwork quilt picked up in an auction. Carl demonstrates an appropriate mixture of big brotherly concern and exasperation as, mounted on his bicycle, he chases after Ellen all over town. After the initial amusement of Ellen's varied attempts to get off the ground, however, her flight is really a let-down.
