THE CRYING CHILD

Jo is summoned by her brother-in-law to attend her sister, Mary, who is behaving strangely after the loss of a child. In fact Mary's miscarriage might even remind you of Rosemary's baby -- there are so many things to explain -- a haunted house, the shadow of a woman, and the crying child she calls Kevin whose name actually appears on a tombstone. Miss Michaels as always is a very enterprising plotter and this is cross-fertilized fiction for the ladies -- a ghostly gothic hallucinogen.
