COMING ROUND THE MOUNTAIN

Circulating library fiction of somewhat above average calibre. The story of the ""ugly duckling"" -- outcast daughter of a mountain family, who is married at fifteen to a neighboring lad, runs away to New York after the birth of her still-born child, and manages to make a name for herself with her drawing. She becomes engaged to a doctor -- but is terrified of her past, and tells him everything. He treats her as a patient, forces her to go back and face facts, and eventually -- her marriage turns out to have been a fake -- they work things out together.
