There are the many ups and downs of her years there; her eventual success in a public relations outfit; her marriage to a main-chancer in advertising, Faith finally finds that her husband- and her organization- are lined up with isolationist forces, and she leaves both. With the war, she meets Mark again in Paris, and when she finishes her successful crusade for a women's political party, she is finally free for marriage and private retirement with Mark. A novel of a woman, for women, which has more substance and intelligence than most- but which is still largely for rent and high at this price.
