THE FRIGHTENED LADIES

While these two novelettes do not classify strictly as mysteries, the market will be largely in that area. Lady in Hiding -- his first publication in the SEP many years ago, now appears for the first time in book form, and reflects many of the characteristics of characterization, tight plotting, suspense that are now associated with his writing. Lady with a Past is faster paced, closer to the technique of a murder mystery, but again more dependent on human interrelations than on incident. Both provide their measure of dependable escape reading.
