by Ben Lucien Burman ‧ RELEASE DATE: April 1, 1956
Again the gentle yarn-spinning Mr. Burman trots out his favorite characters- Doc Raccoon, Judge Black, the snake, the frog, Old Joe, the alligator, and the rest- for a new swampland problem-adventure. Quivering from a dastardly experience, Doc Raccoon comes to recount the dreadful happenings imperiling the Catfish Bend Community: the animals are besieged by hunters. But some smart and appropriate thinking on the part of Judge Black, the raccoon and their friends- as well as some digs at faulty social planning that sound pretty human- put the hunters to flight and leave the community at peace. For the Pogo Brer Rabbit circuit in which Burman too has his following.
