THE DANGER ISLANDS

The colorful adventures of 22 year old Johnny Rogers who has left the United States to roam the South Pacific are as intense and incredible as the events which occur in the TV series ""Adventures in Paradise"". The elements of a typical suspense story are disguised in tropical trappings; the gangsters sail the sea restlessly, waiting to rob the innocent native pearl divers. The author shifts abruptly from scene to scene, focusing on Johnny and his injured companion as they make their way from isle to isle, picturing the events on the ship of the scoundrels; and shifting now and then to the festive natives. In short, the mechanics of controlling the plot show through. It's high-flung adventure, adequately written, which will satisfy only those who do not require a relationship to reality.
