Drinking more and more- turning to two- and then three others- in alcoholic, amatory attempts, Matt's degradation is complete as he sells out his only friend, concedes, compromises, and finally in self-hatred, suicides.. A capable, convincing study of tension and crack-up,- only the market is conjectural.
