Vivian sets off for a weekend with her sister Anne with murder in her heart and her engagement to be announced. The failure of her efforts breeds suspicion of all -- her aunt and her companion and chauffeur, her fiance, her sister and the man she is to marry. After a discussion with her aunt, Vivian is freed from her chains of blackmail, is able to face down the cause of her terrors, crimeless. A California close call which spotlights an individual's response to the thought of murdering rather than actual mystery problems, this has the appeal of the unusual -- if with a let-down at the close.
