DING DONG BELL

Tiger was a nomad. The homeless cat found haven with a boy and girl who lived in a house with a garden. Tiger inadvertently brought wealth to the children and their widowed mother when he fell through the rotten boards covering an old well. The old newspapers he clutched in his paws when he was rescued contained a fortune in bills. Although many people tried to claim the money, Tiger's treasure went to his benefactors. A pat cat story with a predictable ending, this is easy reading for second graders with illustrations on each page to help halting readers.
