The Importance of Selecting the Right College is here translated into valid and practical terms, subduing much of the pressure and hysteria, and stressing that the right college is the one best suited to the interests, capabilities and finances of the applicant. The authors provide no specific value judgments on specific colleges but give an overall prospectus of the private college, state institution, liberal arts- teachers-junior college, technological and trade and night schools and what each offers. They offer questions to consider (where other books such as this do not) such as extracurricular activities, religious affiliations, co-educational-or all girls' enrollment, etc. Statements of qualifications for acceptance by 11 admissions officers, and advice on financing complete a book of solid guidance which puts prestige in its place and opens up educational opportunities to all who desire and deserve a college education. A book which parents and high school students should find helpful.
