by Betty Betz ‧ RELEASE DATE: N/A
The author of the popular Your Manners Are Showing and The Betty Betz Party Book again demonstrates her knowledge of teen age interests. Her somewhat ""jivey"" style may succeed where a more serious approach to the landing of a job or the starting of a career might fail. Part I is devoted to general advice on making contacts, applying for jobs, the question of part-time jobs while still in school. Part II is a symposium of career advice from people who have reached the top in their varied fields, from advertising to writing, in alphabetical order- forty in all. Some of the names are recognizable at any age level,- Jacquelin Cochran, Ann Delafield, Ireme Dunne, Irving Berlin, Bennett Cerf, Helen Hayes and many others, well known to those in their own fields.... Lots of sound advice, sincere and practical- entertainingly presented.
