Angie, Luis, Jackie, and Trina are on a long walk to school through an overwhelming, wide-lens city when an unexpected Trojan Horse school bus stops for them. It snorts and clumps down the street to the schoolyard, where the children burst from the bus astride four nags, to romp on swings and through basketball hoops until they're called to class. ""The teachers couldn't believe their eyes!"" It's a slight fantasy but a good read-aloud, with a well-paced text, expressive, jump-cut drawings, and lively type that goes up and down and around and around with the action. Adroit.
