Huge Harold is a rabbit misfit, sent out to fend for himself. This is his odyssey through the woods where owls and foxes chase him, to a farm, where cows shoo him, to a haunted house, where boys discover him, through fields where men hunt him, and finally to Orville B. Croft, who trains him as a trotter and enters him in the champion races, a niche Harold finally fits. An abundance of varying elements is climaxed by a ""misfit"" (contrived) ending, and detracts from a sporadically humorous text with illustrations of matching quality.
