Silver, Pennies has proved one of the best collections of modern poetry for children that has been published. Now comes a companion volume (though not a volume in the Little Library), tapping the rich vein of modern verse for more poems that children will love. The collection includes many old favorites among writers, with such names among them as Millay, Guiterman, Farjeon, Amy Lowell, Frost, and many known particularly for their children's verse, Rachel Field, Dorothy Aldis, etc. Some of the nicest poems in the book are by little known poets. The material is divided into not too obvious subject groups, and many of the poems are prefaced by a brief editorial comment.
