Nancy Demarest regarded her move from San Francisco to Southern California as an opportunity to change her personality. But gay repartee, exaggerated hairdos and forced charm are strangely unrewarding affectations. Given the opportunity to organize a group of high school girls for volunteer work in the community hospital Nancy finds a more realistic outlet for her talents. The hospital group serves as a nucleus in forging a friendship between two rival high schools and as a basis for Nancy's truer metamorphosis. An unimpressive run-of-the mill girls' story and a disappointing follow-up to the distinguished One Small Voice.
