Tim and Sanchez go to school on the Empty Planet where sleep learning expands the possibilities for classroom practical joking, where there are walking plants such as the mischievous scissorwort, where a previous race of wise immortals put themselves to sleep out of sheer boredom. . . . Freefall lunacy with no more coherence than previous Tim and Sanchez outings, but the humor has a satiric edge unusual in material for reluctant readers.
