AFRAID TO RIDE

A broken leg as the result of a fall from a horse made Judy Ellis, 16, afraid to ride at all. But kindly Mr. Jeffers rekindled her interest by asking her to help to rehabilitate a mishandled horse Fair Lady. Judy's work with the horse brought glory to both, when she and Fair Lady took the Challenge Hunt Cup for the Cross Country Club. Brief, this is more an episode than a novel, profusely illustrated in black and white by the author. Although the heroine is teen-aged, the reading level and the plot place it in the younger age group.
