Not what the title leads one to expect, since two thirds of the book deal exhaustively with Lehmann's experiences during the war, and only one third with the history of airships. Developments and improvements discussed as they come, and so one gets some conception of the scientific developments. The close is a paean of the modern zeppelin -- which will be supplemented with a last chapter on the tragic fate of the ship on which so much was built. Little color or drama in the telling, militaristic in viewpoint. Might have plus sale for boys interested in aviation.
