Story Parade picture book- a lot for the money. Nonsense tale of a little car who preferred the country and got badly battered in city driving. The car has a real personality, and if there is no objection to a lot of apparently driverless cars running around and talking to each other without benefit of human beings, the story has somewhat the appeal of the Gramatky stories. At the end, a policeman, a garage mechanic and two boys who want to drive to California come into the story, and the little car, back on its tires again, sets off for points west. Paul Gladone pictures in postery colors.
