As one of a series, this again handles the concept of God's part in daily living. In this case, Miss Wolcott has used the universal fascination the subject of growth has for even young children. Through concrete examples, the mother shows how grass shows, how the kitten has outgrown his basket; how her small son is outgrowing his pajamas. This is intended to imbue the child's imagination with the sense of God in his world, but somehow the concept remains an abstraction, and what is dynamic in the subject emerges in a somewhat pedestrian Sunday School book.
