Built on the primer content material formula, with the accepted mechanics of repetition, the use of familiar activities as subject matter, this may be an opening wedge for children who begin to be interested in going beyond picture-story-books to reading for themselves. The successive ""stories"" following the title one, cover such subjects as running, gardening, choosing, pets, parties, journeys, wishing, skating, playing on the beach, etc. In spite of recognizing its value, I thought it fairly dull and uninspired.
