A ROOM FOR CATHY

A room for Cathy seems to be her nine year old wish come true when she and her parents and her younger brother and sister move from the city to a large house in the suburbs. But there trouble develops. Daddy doesn't get the ""Promotion"" that was going to allow them to pay for all this and they have to take in roomers and spoil Cathy's longed for privacy. The roomers however turn out to be not so bad after all; a girl her own age helps Cathy to a new understanding of people so that when her father's promotion does come through, Cathy wants her new friends to stay on as long as possible. Close as it is to the viewpoint of the age, this sustains Catherine Woolley's record.
