Professor Chad Walsh, of Beloit College, has earned a reputation as a penetrating Christian apologist, an advocate of the application of Christian principles to the problems of the day and, above all, as one who can use the English language with style and provocativeness. He has written poetry, books on social theory, theology and literary criticism. In this book of essays all of these gifts are combined. As a result we have a volume that readers will find both charming and stimulating. His general thesis running through all the essays is that the Divine Presence may be made manifest in many ways, many of them unexpected and surprising. Good literature as well as good Christianity.
