Perfectly reasonable exercise information, written by a YMCA Program Director, which would be more accessible without the question-and-answer format. Kuntzleman favors regular aerobic exercise--walking, bicycling, jogging, and swimming top the list. He also values yogic exercise as complementary muscle stretchers and thinks steam rooms should be turned off. Throughout, he refers to several of the better-known regimens, considers the relationship of diet and exercise to chronic conditions--obesity, heart disease, diabetes, arthritis, low back pain--and recommends what now seems a familiar pattern of warm-ups, heavy exercise, and cool-down techniques. Reliable, but without the analytic edge of Rating the Exercises.
