by Charley & Curt Anders Boswell ‧ RELEASE DATE: May 5, 1969
As told to but unretouched by Mr. Anders, this is the story of Mr. Boswell's life with its momentary arrest during World War II when he was blinded. Before that he had been a college football and potential professional baseball player. Just as it happened, he recaps the many operations (in Belgium and Holland) when he still hoped his sight would be restored; his rehabilitation over here; his marriage (one child before the war and two more to follow); his decision to go into business; and the first therapy which started him on his way back--golf. Now he is the winner of some 20 championships in the National Blind Golf Tournament and still strongly combines earning a living with his civic and athletic interests. In other words--he's right in there competing, an incentive for others.
