There seems no end to these -- Army Wife, Navy Wife, So Your Husband's Gone To Kar, and so on. This is very much like the others -- a reference book rather than a book for reading. The first section is devoted to benefits and protection that can be had through the Navy, in case of death of the husband. In business-like manner, it goes into details that the Navy wife should have at her fingertips in the line of legal papers. It brings out opportunities open to Navy families. This is all treated explicitly, and in legal terminology, with examples of documents and wording of clauses. The second half deals with social forms of the Navy, much of which is not as valid now as in times of peace. And there is variation with different stations. But the general rules should be of help to any Navy wife. Also included are miscellaneous problems such as advice on moving, income tax, mail property rights, relief organizations, legal aids.
