by Clara Hollos ‧ RELEASE DATE: Oct. 1, 1946
A lively picture-fact book that tells about the making of our clothes, going through the process from sheep shearing to selling the finished process. (Remember the classic Beskov book, Pelle's New Suit- a picture book on this theme?) ... This is for older children, second and third graders, and even includes the man and woman behind each step. The author tries to make industrial processes part of the reality of the child's world, and the easy style of the narrative, the clear, light illustrations by Herbert Kruskman in color and line make it appealing to young readers. An attractive book for schools, libraries and home reading.
