PANDORA

4 year old Peter, determined to know what his cat, Pandora, says and thinks, harasses his Mommie in their New York apartment. Pandora is obstinate about eating, and is punished -- and retaliates; Pandora romps far too violently with Peter. Peter and his Mommie buy Pandora's meat, and can't find her when they return. They look in all the impossible places -- and find her in Peter's top bureau drawer and Peter gets all his questions answered. The pictures are the next best thing to owning a cat of your own, lifelike enough to cuddle, and the appeal of the whole book is really ageless.
