by Clarence Budington Kelland ‧ RELEASE DATE: N/A
This isn't a straight novel, but is a skilful scissors and paste job, in the juxtaposition of similar stories, reintroduction of the same characters, and the result is a record of further exploits in the life of Vermont's Mr. Fixit. No means are too devious for Baines to accomplish his ends; the smallest profit for his hardware store is worthy of his efforts; he brings justice and happiness to many. Human interest stuff, tempered with horse sense and New England canniness.
