KICKED TO DEATH BY A CAMEL

Camel-ologist Roger Allenby is in the Sahara when an Italian acquaintance is said to have been kicked to death by the animal which is not the nature of the beast. There's a polyglot of mixed nationals (German, Japanese, Gambian, etc.) and a complex of interests (what is being smuggled in those Michelin fire boxes) to throw a certain amount of sand in your eyes. Jogs rather than jolts your attention but most agreeably written.
