PAUL REVERE'S ENGRAVINGS

Colleagues of the late Dr. Brigham have updated the 1954 edition published by the American Antiquarian Society. Revere's work in copperplate engraving--represented here in toto via 77 plates, a few in color--ranged from commercial assignments (plates for bill forms, paper money, musical scores and title pages) to political prints, portraits and scenic views. With descriptions and locations of all known prints and reproductions of the originals from which they were adapted, this is an attractive book and a prime key to contemporary attitudes and mores.
