by Clyde Brion Davis ‧ RELEASE DATE: May 6, 1937
A first novel of some interest, presenting the physical wanderings of a farm boy turned sailor together with his mental advancement, for he believes, since he has found a few simple fundamental patterns of a great system, he can some day find the answer to the question of existence. Slightly mad -- or brilliant -- or whatever you think the boy is, the story of his thinking and his travels is simple and appealing -- and sometimes amusingly and sometimes ironically -- presented. It is on the thin side -- but has distinct merit.
