Colombe, the musician, in love with an orchestrator she works with -- and Hermine, determined to make her ""Monsieur Weekend"" divorce his wife and marry her. Colette is writing rather sleazy, thin stuff -- but she still has a knock for dressing it up in her highly individual, nervous, sensuous prose.
