THE INNOCENT WIFE

The story of the gradual eye opening process through which a young wife, completely under her husband's thumb, goes, when the husband departs on an extended business trip and she has a chance to see how other people spend their time and emotions. Not so sexy as most of Colette's books, though there is a skirting the fringe of Lesbian adventures, with the one really appealing character in the book.
