Though the word from New Jersey is that they're not laughing at Hoboken any more, kids should at least get some chuckles out of 266-pound Henrietta, the only chicken left in town when Arthur Bobowicz buys her from mad scientist Professor Mazzocchi after the butcher misplaces the Bobowicz' Thanksgiving turkey order. Arthur takes to Henrietta and gets permission to keep her as a pet, but the general panic that ensues when she gets loose (citizens report sighting a polar bear, a white gorilla, etc.) causes Arthur's parents to change their minds, Professor Mazzocchi to skip town, and the Hoboken police, fire, and sanitation departments to crack beneath the strain. After a fake chicken snatcher takes off with $60,000 and the mayor's new limousine, Professor Mazzocchi returns as Dr. Hsu Ting Feng, Poultry Locator, and demonstrates that simply being nice to Henrietta will put an end to the whole emergency. A disarming resolution all round, and if Henrietta is a featherweight compared to Claudia in last year's Lizard Music, she's no turkey.
