by Daniel Poling ‧ RELEASE DATE: N/A
Forty brief readings, each based on some word or saying of Jesus. Dr. Daniel Poling gives the setting in which each word was spoken, and then adds an illustration or two, often from his own long experience, to show how the words of Jesus are still living words, speaking to every man in his own generation, and directly related to his own condition. Some of the titles are ""Win over Worry"", ""Why I believe in eternal life"", ""Pray to forgive"", ""The Forbidden path"", ""The Midnight Visitor"", etc. Here may be found much to think about, written in a vivid style expected of Dr. Poling. It would be excellent for daily reading for Lent, or other seasons, and was doubtlessly intended for just that.
