More galactic hijinks as humanity and bear-kind battle the insectoid Dronon invaders in this addition to the curdled science fiction/fantasy hybrid series (Beyond the Gate, 1995, etc.). This time, a pregnant Maggie Flynn, Lord Protector Gallen O'Day, and Orick the religious talking bear come to planet Ruin, which is ruled by the mad scientist Lord Felph, to locate a McGuffin before the Dronons arrive. Later, the hapless Orick, having sworn holy vows, finds himself trapped aboard a spaceship with a young and attractive she-bear in heat. Ouch. Business as usual for this harmless Star Wars variant.
