THIEVES' HOLE

A legendary cave in Scotland known as Thieves' Hole turns up some new villains hen its casual exploration by Sir John Monson reveals a murdered man and provokes a rutal assault. Official indifference does not chasten him and Monson disregards the warnings of a watchful tinker, enlists the help of a friend with a boat, and on his second return to the cave is met by an Intelligence officer. He learns that his underground passage is also an underground for foreign agents, and frightening weapons; he allows the girl he loves to assist the escape of her husband- a convicted spy; and he is instrumental in the final capture of a dangerous crew and the launching of a daring plan... More resolute than adroit, this is action adventure which is brisk and bluff.
